From Shinshin Toitsu Aikido Kai President
Shinichi Tohei (Kaicho)
Dear Chief Instructors,
I hope all the Ki Society members are fine everywhere in the world.
I hear from some oversea groups that they are working on Zoom classes and teaching Ki and Aikido on-line.
We, the HQ recently encourage doing on-line classes to Japanese Dojos and many have started trying it. We ask them to keep eyes on security and protect privacy, for example, check the attendees in the waiting room, and during the classes, ask all the students to put their videos ON and show face, so that we can avoid any unknown person join the community.
Until vaccine will be available, we might need to wait to train at Dojo together, but let’s find some ways to continue learning Ki Principles and train Ki Aikido at home. We can do “Ki in Daily Life”every day.
Extend Ki and live positive life!
See you again soon.
Sincerely,
Shinichi Tohei

Message about COVID-19 virus:
Currently, much and varied information about the COVID-19 coronavirus infection is flying around on SNS (Social Networking Services).
However, it has been a short period of time since the virus’s outbreak, and apparently the medical system can not catch up with this fast infection. It was faster than we expected in a situation where even experts, with all available information, could not grasp it throughly.
I am an instructor of Ki-Aikido, not an infectious disease expert. As such, I want to refrain from commenting on this issue since I might share unproven speculations and it also might cause confusion for people.
Please do not post and share any inaccurate information on SNS and act calmly based on the opinions of trusted medical institutions and specialists.
Of course, "Ignoring and Despise” is dangerous, but also "Excessive information" increases stress.
There are a lot of inconveniences, and even financial unease in this situation, however, depending on your point of view, this is also a good opportunity to review ourselves and society.
There is no border for this new virus infection.
Let's work together and overcome this difficulty with positive energy.
